I offer a wide range of services that are specifically tailored to the client in individual, couples, group and family counseling settings; using an Eclectic Approach.
Counseling Specialties include, but not limited to other life challenges that you may face each day:
Adolescent & Young Adult Trauma
Young adults and teenagers tend to have a similar guarded approach to life’s struggles due to the pressures that come with being on the cusp of adulthood. Living everyday life has the potential to become all the more difficult when traumatic experiences come into play. My aim is to help my younger clients navigate daily life by taking their feelings into account one step at a time with an end goal of healing and moving forward, equipped with the ability to manage happy, healthy relationships.
Marriage & Family
Whether you’ve made a decision to start a family or are fully immersed in complete, diverse familial relationships, I offer intricate guidance to help foster an understanding, and resolution, of issues that may arise. Financial management, communication difficulties, and intimacy issues are a few of the many areas that are up for discussion as a means of helping you build or rebuild your family.
Domestic Abuse
No one should have to suffer violence at all, let alone at the hands of a loved one. Dealing with abuse of any sort from those who are meant to protect you will inevitably take its toll on one’s mental and emotional well being. My guided counseling is designed to combat self blame and self harm associated with abuse and help my clients move from the mindset of victim to victor as sessions progress.
Grief
The loss of a loved one is never easy, and while we all grieve in different manners, it is important that we understand that grief should ultimately lead to healing. I offer grief support and counseling not only to those who may be coping with a recent death, but also to those who find themselves suspended in a grievous state for extended periods of time (i.e. several years after a death has occurred). My goal is to help my clients comprehend the difference between healthy grieving and depression, all the while guiding them towards a balance as they restore their lives after a loss.
Elderly Disease & End of Life
Watching a loved one take the journey toward the end of their lives can be an arduous, sad, and painful process; especially if you’ve never been faced with it before. Legal decisions, medical decisions, and even residential decisions can cause added anxiety in a situation that is already hard to bear. I offer counseling regarding degenerative diseases, terminal illnesses, and issues surrounding loss of independence for both elderly clients as well as their family members. It is my mission to help my clients cope with the regressive elements that come with caring for the elderly and making their end-of-life transitions as smooth as humanly possible.
